We caught the preview screening of Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell last night. I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead Trilogy and although I enjoyed the Spiderman movies to date, Raimi hasn't excelled to the brilliance of his Evil Dead movies... until now that is! Drag Me To Hell is a triumphant return to horror, shot with an endearing quality, super paced and terrifying timing, Drag Me To Hell had me on the edge of my seat. There's certainly enough laughs to class this in the comedy horror genre but it remains more edgy than the latter 2 Evil Dead films. The character development is good and I felt I could relate to the characters and you actually cared what happened to them which really helps a good horror flick. I'm not going to give to much away, the plot is about a loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.
